Studio 34 Dance Academy Policies and Guidelines

Tuition: Tuition is due on the 20th of the month for the upcoming month. Example: October tuition is due September 20th. We do not send out bills. Please make a note when you register, how much your tuition is, and that it is due on the 20th of the previous month. Monthly tuition is based on a four week rotation. Some months there will be five weeks some months will have three. Based on this average, tuition will not be pro-rated. Tuition rates are per dancer and are non-transferable. You will be responsible for tuition August June whether or not you are present, unless you fill out a drop form by the 15th of the previous month. You may pay tuition Monday through Friday 3pm-8pm or Saturday 10am - 2pm. You may also mail your check to the studio at 6360 S. Pecos Rd #11 Las Vegas, NV 89120. We accept cash or check only.

Late Fees and Make-up Classes: After the 1st, tuition is considered late. Please be advised that a $20 late fee will be attached to the month's tuition if not received by the 1st. After the 10th , the late fee will be $30. After the 20th the late fee will be $40. The late fee will continue to increase $10 per ten days after that. There is a $25 fee for all returned checks. There are no refunds for missed classes unless we cancel a class due to instructor illness. If a student is absent due to illness, vacation or any other personal reason there are make-up classes available. Please call the office to find out which class is level appropriate for your child. Make-up classes must be used within 30 days of the missed class.

Adding/Dropping Classes: You will be billed your usual tuition unless an add/drop class form has been turned in no later than the 15th of the month for the upcoming month. EXAMPLE: To drop a class in October you must turn in a drop form by September 15th. If you decide to completely drop all classes we will not hold your student's place in the class. As a registered student, you are receiving a reduced rate on classes. If you decide not to participate in the December Concert our policy does not allow you to drop classes in December and re-register for them in January. If you decide to return later in the season, classes will be available to you at a drop-in rate only. Our season runs August through June. EXAMPLE: You are registered for Ballet 2. You drop the class in December. Your student may not re-register nor participate in Ballet 2's dance for the June recital. You may only take Ballet 2 for the rest of the season for a drop-in rate of $15 per class.

Tuition Suspension: To freeze your tuition and hold your spot in the class, a parent/guardian must present a Dr.'s note stating the condition of the dancer and the length of time they will need to be excused from dance. We will NOT freeze your tuition nor hold your spot in class for any other reason.

Arriving for Class: Studio 34 Dance Academy opens at 3pm Monday through Friday, and 10am on Saturday. All students eleven years and younger need to be supervised until fifteen minutes before their class. Students six years and younger need to have parent supervision for the length of their class. All students need to be picked-up within fifteen minutes of the end of their class. We kindly ask parents pick-up on time for the last class of the day. We want everyone to feel welcome, but please understand that we are a dance studio and do not offer daycare services. Thank you.

Class Observation: Parents may watch class through the observation windows. We do not allow non-students inside the dance rooms. While class is in session, please do not open the dance room doors, attempt to talk to your child through the window, or create distractions of any kind. There will be a parent observation week in the winter.

Classroom Etiquette: Please arrive ON TIME or early for class. Arriving late interrupts the class and is disrespectful to the teacher. No food or drink is permitted inside the studio. Water bottles may be kept with the dance bags in the cubby holes provided. Absolutely no gum at will be allowed at any point. Cell phones should be turned off or set to silent/voicemail while in class. There will be no text messaging during class. Conversations during class are disrespectful to the instructor, and disrupt the class. Questions regarding the class are always welcomed, but all other discussions should be saved for after class time is over. Please no street shoes on the dance floor. All students are expected to treat each other with kindness and respect. Studio 34 Dance Academy has zero tolerance for any form of bullying.

Dress Codes: Dress codes are provided for each class in the class description information sheet. We feel very strongly about upholding dress code standards as it is a necessity in effectively determining the correct body alignment in each dancer. Instructors will dismiss students from class if not in the proper dress code...Please help your child be prepared for class. It is each dancer's responsibility to put his/her shoes and other personal belongings away after each class. All shoes, clothes, and any other items should have the dancer's name in them.

Forms and Waivers: To satisfy requirements from our insurance company, dancers will NOT be allowed in class unless we have a current liability waiver on file from a parent/guardian. Please read the waiver and policy guidelines forms, then sign, date, and return to us. Thank you!

Recital: There will be two recitals per year! Students must be registered in order to participate. Regular attendance to class must be a priority for the continued growth of each dancer and for the growth of each class.
